HERE AND THEN

The urge to remember and the agony of forgetfulness. Putting old family photos in their place of creation is a way of returning back to those years of childhood. However, one cannot but compare what has remained unaltered and what has ultimately changed since then.

This project was my first attempt to work with my family archives and renegotiate with my past. Through this process that I went through returning to my birthplace, I came closer to my origins and my identity as a daughter and sister. At the same time, I realized my current transition of letting behind the girl I was and becoming a woman.
