Persephone Michou (1995) was born in Ioannina, Greece, and grew up in Athens. She studied Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the University of West Attica in Athens​ and the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, Hungary. In 2020 her thesis The Perfect Blue was featured for the first time at the Athens Photo Festival in the exhibition Young Greek Photographers and since has been featured in several publications and exhibitions. In 2022 she completed a master's programme in Arts, Culture & Media at the University of Groningen, Netherlands and in 2023 she was relocated in Athens where she published the photobook If I Forget You, I Will Love You Again in collaboration with Zoetrope Athens. Currently, she lives in New York where she works for the International Program of the Museum of Modern Art.
